Kitchell, Alfred

Kitchell attended college in Indiana, was admitted to the bar in 1841, and began practicing law in Olney, Illinois. He served as state's attorney of the Illinois Fourth Judicial Circuit, Richland County judge, and judge of the Illinois Twenty-Fifth Judicial Circuit. In 1850, Kitchell owned $2,500 in real property. Originally a Democrat, he became a Republican in 1856.
