Latham, Phillip C.

Died: 1844-05-25 Shawneetown, Illinois

Latham moved to Elkhart Grove with his father in 1819. He received appointment as deputy clerk of the Sangamon County Clerk's Office in 1827 and remained there for eight years. He also worked as a merchant. Latham married Catherine R. Taber in 1831, with whom he had five children. He was killed by lightning in 1844.
