Lemon, John I.

Lemon moved to Berlin, Illinois, in either 1834 or 1835. In 1836, he married Ann M. White, with whom he had eight children. They originally lived in Sangamon County, where he worked as a farmer and had amassed $1,940 in real estate by 1850. Lemon later moved to Farmer City before finally settling in El Paso. He was a board member of the first Christian Church of El Paso.
