In 1830, Lockridge married Sally Moore in Kentucky. Together, they would have seven children. In 1835, Lockridge moved his family to Sangamon County, Illinois, where he established a farm in Ball Township. Sally died in 1857, and William re-married to Amanda E. Goodbar, with whom he had three children.
