Morgan, Edward T.
Flourished: Monroe County, Illinois
Morgan was an early settler of Monroe County. He was county commissioner from 1830 to 1834. In the late 1830s, Morgan amassed approximately 300 acres of public land in the Eagle Township. Morgan represented Monroe County in the Illinois House of Representatives, 1838 to 1840. From 1840 to 1842, he served as sheriff of the county.
