Neal, John A.

Neal moved to Sangamon County, Illinois, with his parents in 1828. In 1837, he married Eliza A. Greening, with whom he had two children. Eliza died in 1846, and John re-married in 1859 to America Darneille. The same year, he also moved from Loami to Chatham, where he became a merchant. Neal also served on the Sangamon County Board of Supervisors from 1862 to 1865.
