Mary L. Perkins was the wife of Tarrant A. Perkins. Raised in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, Mary Lovejoy married Tarrant A. Perkins in 1833 in Shipton, Quebec, Canada. Mary and Tarrant would have four children together. After living for a time in Canada, Mary Perkins moved with her husband to Tremont, Illinois. In 1850, she was living in Tremont with her husband and three children. In the 1850s, Mary moved her family to Chicago, Illinois. In 1860, she was living in Chicago's Fifth Ward with her husband and four children.
