Short, Allen

Died: 1895-10-07 Kansas

As a child, Allen Short settled in Sangamon County, Illinois, with his father, James Short. He had some sort of physical disability. On August 31, 1837, he married Margaret Ann Campbell in Sangamon County. After Margaret's death, Allen married Harriett Park in Sangamon County on June 30, 1847. In 1850, he was a farmer living in Sangamon County with his second wife and five children. He owned $400 in real property. Later, he became a minister in the Presbyterian Church.
