Smith, Edward (IL State Representative)

Flourished: Wabash County, Illinois

Smith represented Wabash County in the Illinois House of Representatives in the 9th, 10th, and 11th General Assemblies, 1835-39. While in the legislature, Smith became principal engineer of the Southern Engineering District of Illinois. In this capacity, he made a detailed survey of the Wabash River.
