Smith, James (of Virginia)

Smith was a prominent Virginia attorney. He married Priscilla Brooke Fleet, with whom he had six children. His youngest two sons served as officers in the Confederate States Army. In 1850, he was living with his family and practicing law in St. Stephens Parish, King and Queen County, Virginia. He owned $8,000 in real estate.
