Stookey, Daniel

Flourished: Saint Clair County, Illinois

Stookey came to Illinois as early as 1797 and by the early 1800s he helped establish settlement in what is now Belleville, Illinois. Stookey was a Democratic Party elector for Andrew Jackson in the presidential election of 1832.
