Wood, James M.

James M. Wood was a county court clerk, sheriff, and bank clerk. He served as clerk of Kentucky's Fayette County Circuit Court and as the county's sheriff. By 1860, he was working as a bank clerk in Lexington and owned three enslaved people, including two teenagers. He also had a wife and two children.
