That the officers ^non commissioned officers^ privates and musicians of the Ma- rine Corps, who have served with the army in the war with Mexico, and also the artificers and laborers of the ordnance corps serving in said war, be placed in all res- pects as to Bounty Land and other remuneration in addition to ordinary pay, on a footing with the officers ^non commissioned officers^ privates and musicians of the Army: Provided, That this remuneration shall be in lieu of prize money and all other extra allowances. |

“An Act “Joint Resolution concerning certain portions of the Marine and Ordnance Corps”, do pass, with the following
Amendments:
Line 1. After the word “officers,” insert, non-commissioned officers.
Line 6. After the word “Officers”, insert, non-commissioned officers.
Add the following section to the Bill:
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the non-commissioned officers of the marine
corps shall be entitled to the same bounty for re-enlistment as is now, or may hereafter
be received by the non-commissioned officers of the army.
