Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly; That the road as now traveled from Vandalia to Shelbyville by Chaffins, Doyles, Boazes bridge, Blankenships and Mark Jones; thence on the dividing line between Binns J Wren and William Nichols, and between said Nichols and John Depeue; thence by Bowling Jones’ crossing Beck’s creek on the Bridge over the same to the line dividing the counties
of Jay Fayette and Shelby at the point where the road aforesaid crosses the same, be and the same is hereby
declared a public highway and hereafter shall be so deemed and taken and shall be
worked upon and kept in repair as other public highways and state roads are required
to be in this state
Sec 2 That the County Commissioner Court for the county of Fayette be and they are hereby required to make an allowance to each commissioner of not
less than one dollar and fifty cents for ^each day^ necessarily employed, and to all other persons employed in surveying and locating
the road aforesaid, not less than seventy five cents per day. Satisfactory proof being
first made to said court that said services was performed under the authority of

This Act to be in force from and after its passage.
