AN ACT to vacate the Survey and Plat of the Town of Venus in Hancock County.

Survey vacated.
Proviso.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the proprietors

of the town of Venus in Hancock county, and the purchasers of lots therein, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to alter, change or vacate the survey and plat of said town of Venus: Provided, That no such change, alteration or vacation shall be made without the consent of all the proprietors and purchasers aforesaid.
Vacancies heretofore made, valid.
Sec. 2. Any change, alteration or vacation heretofore made in the survey, plat or name of said town with the consent of the proprietors and purchasers as aforesaid, shall be and remain valid and effectual to all intents and purposes.

1Henry J. Mills from the Committee on Petitions, to which the Senate referred the petition of sundry citizens of Hancock County, introduced SB 44 in the Senate on January 6, 1835. The Senate passed it on January 12. On January 16, the House of Representatives referred the bill to a select committee. The select committee reported back the bill on January 19 without amendment. The House passed the bill on January 20. On January 24, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
