Inasmuch as the Resident land tax in the several Counties of this State is paid into the County Treasuries, and the Revenue paid into the State Treasury,
is not sufficient to defray the necessary expenses, of the State Government, and Inasmuch,
as the present members of this Legislature do not serve for a remuneration, but for their country[’]s good. Therefore Resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Illinois
That the patriotic members of the General Assembly,Serve during the ^do not demand pay for the ^ present session, of this Legislature, without fee or reward untill March 1836
