Sec.[Section] 1^st Be it Enacted by the people of the state of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly, That the county commissioners court of Morgan County is hereby authorized, to cause or permit the public square in the Town of Jacksonville, to be enclosed for the protection and preservation of the public buildings Erected thereon by Running a fence across the state Road passing through said square, provided, that one Hundred feet shall be Left open between the Lots on the squares, and the fence, as a public highway, and the state Roads passing through the said square, and hereby changed so as to pass upon the space required to be Left open aforesaid.
