Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly. That the sum of one hundred dollars be paid to Samuel Copland for his services and expenses incured in bringing Jacob Salmon, who was accused of kidnaping a negro boy in the county of Johnson, from Tipton County in Tennessee, and delivering him over to the proper authorities of said Johnson county in this State. The Auditor of Public accounts is hereby required to issue his warrant on the treasurer1 for the above mentioned sum in favour of the said Samuel Copland.
