AN ACT for the benefit of the infant heirs of James Mason, deceased.

Sarah Mason authorized to sell lots in Grafton.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the powers conferred by the act to which this is an amendment, upon Sarah Mason, guardian of Martha Maria Mason, infant and only heir of James Mason, deceased, be, and they are hereby extended, so as to enable her to sell, in the manner and under the instructions therein contained, the lots and lands, lying in the town of Grafton, of which the said James Mason died seized.
This act to take effect from and after its passage.

1Responding to a petition, John T. Stuart of a select committee introduced HB 91 in the House of Representatives on December 31, 1835. The House referred the bill to a select committee, which reported the bill back without amendment on January 4, 1836. The House passed the bill unamended on January 5. On January 15, the Senate passed the bill unamended. On January 16, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
