Resolved by the senate the House of Representatives concurring herein That our senators in Congress be instructed and our Representatives be requested, to use their best exertions to have the surveys of the Public lands in ^the^ northern end of this state completed as early as practicable, that they may be brought into market, and that the settlers and setlers and occupants thereon may be thereby enabled to purchase their improvements
Resolved that the Governor be requested to forward a copy of the foregoing resolutions to each of our senators and representatives in Congress.

1James M. Strode introduced the resolution in the Senate on December 10, 1835. The Senate adopted it, but the House of Representatives tabled it. On December 14, the House took up the resolution and adopted it. It is unclear whether the General Assembly presented the resolution to Governor Joseph Duncan. The resolution was not presented in the U.S. Congress.
