Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly That the Clerk of the County Commissioners Court of Morgan County, shall cause a special Election to be held in the Appalonia precinct of Morgan County on the second Saturday of February next for the Election of an additional Justice of the peace, and Constable in and for said district said Election to be held in the Town of Appalonia

Sec 2. The Judges of Election shall give notice of said Election at least ten days before the day of Election by posting up written advertisements at three of the most public places in said District

Sec 3 The said Judges shall conduct said Election as other Elections of Justices of the peace and Constables are conducted

Sec 4. The Justice of the peace and Constable elected at said Election shall do and perform, all the duties that are required of other Justices and Constables, and remain receive the same fees and ^shall^ hold their offices till the next regular quadrenial Election for Justices of the peace and Constables, and untill their successors are elected & qualified to office

Sec. 5. At each subsequent quadrenial Election for Justices of the peace and Constables the voters of said Appalonia District shall vote for and elect Two Justices of the peace and Two Constables in and for said District, who shall in all cases do and perform the duties that are required of other Justices of the Peace and Constables and shall be entitled to the same fees.

Sec. 6. This act to be in force from and after its passage
