AN ACT to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate the Franklin manual Labor College, approved Jan.[January] 16th, 1836.
1Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the trustees of the Franklin Manual Labor College shall have power to locate said college in the county of Will, and that so much of the first section of the act to which this is an amendment as requires the trustees of the aforesaid college to locate it either in the county of Cook or La Salle, be and the same is hereby repealed.

1On February 9, 1837, Albert G. Leary introduced HB 231 in the House of Representatives. On February 18, the House passed the bill. On February 24, the Senate passed the bill. On February 27, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
