Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly; That the third Section of the act entitled “An act to incorporate ^the^ Carlyle Bridge Company” Approved January the 16^th 1836 shall be, and the same is hereby so amended as to authorise, and empower the Corporation by said act created to erect the Bridge therein authorised, across the Kaskaskia River, by commencing the same at the east end of Franklin instead of Fairfax Street at Carlyle, thence to the east bank of said

.river, to be constructed in all other respects as contemplated in said act of incorporation

Sec 2. This act to be in force from its passage.
