Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the People of the state of Illinois represented in the General assembly; That John Messenger, Samuel Ogle and Matthew Potter are hereby appointed commissioners to review and relocate the state road from Lebanon in St Clair County to Wiggins’ Ferry on the Mississippi River opposite St Louis missouri; Said road to be laid out on the nearest and best ground, having due regard to private rights.
Sec 2. Said commissioners shall be allowed, out of the county treasury of St Clair county a reasonable compensation per day for the time necessarily employed in reviewing and relocating said road. Said commissioners shall make and report, to the county commissioners court of St Clair county, a plat of said road so relocated as aforesaid.
Sec 3. Said road when so relocated shall be opened, worked and kept in repair as other state roads are; And all laws and parts of laws coming within the purview of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.
