AN ACT for the relief of the sheriff of McDonough county.
1Sheriff allowed time to collect
Proviso
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly, That the sheriff of McDonough county be allowed until the first Monday of June next to collect and pay over the State
revenue of said county; provided, that all money collected shall be paid over on the first Monday of March.

1On February 28, 1837, George W. P. Maxwell introduced Misc SB 6 in the Senate. On March 2, the Senate passed the bill without amendment. That same day, the House too passed the bill without amendment. On March 4, the Council of Revision approved the bill, and the act became law.
