Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That from and after the passage of this act that the name of the town of Cincinnatti in the county of Tazwell be and the same is hereby changed to the name of Pekin and by that name it shall forever hereafter be known and designated
Sec 2. That the said town ^with all the additions thereto^ shall hereafter be attached to and form a part of the old ^original^ town of Pekin in said county and the Trustees of the said original town of Pekin are hereby authorised to extend their town limits over the town plat of Territory included in the plat of said town ^with the additions thereto^ and to exercise such jurisdiction over the same as is confered ^on them^ by Law
sec 3 .this act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Sec 3. That all the Laws, orders, and ordinances now in force in the said ^original^ town of Pekin are hereby declared to be in full force and binding in Law over the town plat of the said town of Cincinnatti with and all the additions thereto
