Be it enacted by the people of the State ^Section 1.^ of Illinois represented in the General Assembly That the Judge of the municipal Court of the City of Chicago shall possess all and singular the powers and he is hereby required to perform all the Judicial duties appertaining to the office of Judge of the Circuit Courts of this state and to issue all such writs and process as is or may hereafter by statutory provisions be made issuable from the Circuit Courts of this state.
Section 2.
That so much of the fifth section of an act entitled “An act to protect the Canal lands against trespassers”, Approved March 4th 1837, as requires the obligees of any bond entered into, in pursuance of the above act, to surrender all their improvements on said lands, to the agents of the state, (embracing all their crops then growing thereon) whenever said lands shall be advertised for sale, and also, so much as requires that “in case of a violation or breach of any Condition upon which the permit is given that the agent of the state shall have the right to take possession of the premises with all improvements thereon” be and the same is hereby repealed and in lieu thereof the said obligees, shall be liable to be indicted for any breach of said bond and upon conviction shall be fined to any sum not exceeding one

hundred dollars, for each and every ^such^ offence and it is hereby made the duty of the District Attorneys, in each and every district in which the Canal lands are located, to prosecute in all such cases on the part of the state
Sect[Section] 3rd
It shall be the duty of the secretary of State, to cause all the laws of this state, on the subject now in force, relating to Justices of the Peace and Constables, to be published with the laws passed at this session of the general assembly
