Sect[Section] 1 Be it Enacted by the people of the State of Illinois that Represented in the general assembly that John J Page Peter Parker and Jeremiah Bauling of the County of shelby be and they are hereby appointed Commissioners to view, survey and locate a State Road or so much thereof that part of the so much of the State Road ^Leading^ from Shelbyville in Shelby County to Vandalia in Fayette County as lies between the centre of Section 13. Town 11 North Range 3 East, and the Town of Shelbyville
Sec[Section] 2 Said Commissioners Shall meet in the Town of Shelbyville on or before the 25th day of December Next or as soon thereafter as convenient, and after being duly sworn
by some justice of the peace well and truly to perform the duties above required,
Shall proceed to Survey and locate Said Road as required by this act.
Sec 3, The Said Road when laid out, as afore Said Shall be deemed and considered a State
Road, and the County Commissioners Court of Said County Shall appoint Supervisors over the same, and cause it to be opened and kept in Repair
as other State Roads are
Sec 4 The Commissioners appointed under the provissions of this act Shall receive a just and fair compensation for the time they are necessarily
employed; and they they
^Shall^ employ a Surveyor and chain Cariers who shall receive a fair compensation for their Services, to be paid out of Said
County Treasury
