Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the state [of?] Illinois represented in the General Assembly [?] Thomas J. [Sec 2 Said Commissioners] or a majority of [?] shall meet at the town of Springfield, on [the?] first Monday of April next, or as soon [?] as may be agreed on by said Commissioners [?] after being first duly sworn to perform [such?] duties to the best of their skill and [abilities?] shall then proceed to view all the [?] routes between the points named [?] first section of this bill; and when a [majority?] of said Commissioners shall agree on a route [?] said road, then said Commissioners shall [?] a surveyor and other necessary hands , and sh[all?] proceed to survey said road, and shall take [?] and dista[nce?] from place to place, and [?] said survey [?]st end of David [?] said Commiss[ioners?] [?] out a [complete?] map of the course [?] of said road, and return the same [?] of the county Commissioners Court of [?] county, wh[?] the same on[?] his office.

Sec 3 The county Commissioners of said county shall allow said Commissioners, and others [?] by them, a reasonable compensation, to be paid [?] the Treasury of said county

Sec 4 When said road is thus laid out, [the?] county Commissioners shall cause the same [to] be opened and kept in repair, of suff[icient?] width to admit of a free and easy passage [of] all kinds of carriages commonly used on [?] roads.
