Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly, That the administrator of the estate of Daniel Dry deceased be and he is hereby authorized to sell and convey by deed in [fee simple?], so much of the land belonging to said estate as shall be necessary to include the
House and improvements constructed through mistake upon said land situated in Perry county, Illinois.
Sec 2. Be it further enacted, that the administrator of the said Daniel Dry deceased [?] he is hereby further authorized to sell and dispose of the rails and other improvements
of a perishable nature, on said land and that the proceeds thereof be assetts in the hands of the said administrator to pay the debts against said estate.

1On January 11, 1839, Richard G. Murphy in the House of Representatives presented a petition relative to the estate of Daniel Dry, deceased, which the House referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. The Committee
on the Judiciary reported back the petition on January 17, and the House referred
it to a select committee. In response to the petition, Murphy of the aforesaid select
committee introduced HB 301 in the House on February 15. The House passed the bill
on February 20. On February 26, the Senate indefinitely postponed further consideration.
