AN ACT concerning the town of Lynnville.
1Part of act repealed.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the proviso to the first section of the act, “entitled “An act to incorporate
the towns therein named,” approved on the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and thirty-seven, so far as the same relates to or limits the powers
of the president and trustees of the town of Lynnville, in Morgan county, be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
Approved, February 19, 1839.
1After receiving a petition from citizens of Lynnville in Morgan County, on January 2, 1839, Senator William Thomas of the Committee on the Judiciary introduced SB 53 in the Senate. On January 17 , the Senate passed the bill. The House of Representatives passed the bill on February 5. On February 19, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
