To the [Honb^le?] the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Illinois the Petition of the Subscribers would respectfully represent that the State Road leading from Phillips Ferry to a point in the Saint Louis road two & a half miles south of Jacksonville could be greatly improved and placed upon better ground by being so altered as to run Beginning at the South west corner of the South East quarter of Section thirty four township fifteen Range eleven West thence North upon the west line of said quarter section to the center line ^of^between sections 34, 35, & 36. instead or running from the point above mentioned angling through said Sections Jan^y 15^th 1839
