An act to Locate a part of a state Road
1Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois Represented in the General assembly, that Nathaniel H Duff[,] John Maxfield[,] & Henry Kenlee of Clay County be and they are hereby Appointed Commissioners to view[,] ^survey^[,] mark, and Locate a state Road from Maisville in Clay County thence to intersect the state road Leading from Louisville to Charleston in Colals County at some conveniant Point Be twene [...?]the town of Louisville and the Clay County Line on the east side of the Little Wabash River
Sec 2 the Commissioners or a majority of them Shall meete at the town of maysville on the first monday of Aprill next, or as soon thereafter As practicable and after Being Duly sworn, shall Proceede to perform the Duties required of them By this act; avoiding as much as possible
the injury of private property.
sec 3 the said Commisioners shall as soon as convenient cause to be filed, with the clerk of the County Commisioners Court of said County A report of the Location of said Road which Report shall be Read & preserved and
form a Part of the Records of said Court said Road when Located shall be opened and kept in repair as other state roads [...?]
sec 4 the County Commisioners Court shall allow the Commisioners one dollar $50 Cents per Each Day necessarily employed and 1 Dollar per Day for ^Each^ Chain Carriers and Blasers and two Dollars and fity cents per day to the surveyor
