Whereas by an act of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois Approved March 2nd 1839 entitled “an act to Incorporate the Town of Bloomington” it is provided that said Town be incorporated as a body corporate and politic in the manner therein provided and
whereas by the neglect of the citizens of said Town to avail themselves of the provisions of said act in becoming so incorporated, said act has become null and void
Now therefore
Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly That said act be, and is hereby revived and continued in full force and opperation any provision of the same to the contrary notwithstending
Sec. 2. Be it further enacted That at any time hereafter it shall be competent for any number of freeholders of
said Town not less than ten to post up notices of an election giving at least ten days previous
notice to vote for or against incorporating said Town under the provisions of said act, and if it shall appear that a majority of the qualified
votes are in favour of the same, it shall be incorporated immediately thereafter by the election of Officers
as therein provided any thing in said act concerning the mode of incorporating to
the contrary notwithstanding

Provided however That any failure or failures so to incorporate shall not work a forfeiture
of said act or prevent further or repeated efforts by election to incorporate said Town
Sec 3 This act to be in force from and after its passage
