AN ACT in relation to certain roads in Greene county.

Road from Whitehall to Illinois river, valid
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the survey and location of the road from White Hall to the Illinois river, as located by the Commissioners appointed under “An act authorizing the county cmmissioners’ court to construct certain roads in Greene county,” approved March 2, 1839, shall be deemed as good and valid as if the same had been done according to the provisions of the above recited act.
Sec. 2. The roads mentioned in the aforesaid act shall be deemed State roads, and kept in repair as other State roads are.

1On January 10, 1840, Franklin Witt introduced SB 79 in the Senate. On January 18, the Senate passed the bill. On January 30, the House of Representatives passed the bill. On February 1, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
