AN ACT in relation to the court house in the county of La Salle.
1Care of co. com’rs[county commissioners] of La Salle over court room
Proviso
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the county commissioners of the county of La Salle, shall have the care of the court room in said county, any law to the contrary notwithstanding: Provided, said commissioners shall have said room kept in order for holding courts, at any
time that it may be wanted for holding courts, or other public purposes.

1On January 18, 1840, Senator William Stadden introduced SB 13 in the Senate. On January 23, the Senate passed the bill. On January 25, the House of Representatives passed the bill. On January 29, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
