AN ACT in relation to Lusk creek.

Lusk creek declared navigable
Laws repealed
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Aseembly, That Lusk Creek, in the county of Pope, is hereby declared a navigable stream from the mouth thereof up to John Ritts’ mill; and all laws declaring said creek navigable higher up than Ritts’ mill, are hereby repealed.

1On December 19, Representative John W. Read presented a petition to the House of Representatives, and the House referred the petition to a select committee. On December 21, 1839, Read, a member of the select committee, introduced HB 5o in the House. On January 2, 1840, the House passed the bill. On January 27, the Senate passed the bill. On January 29, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
