Gov Brown
Will confer a great favor to many of his friends in Eastern Mississippi by attending to the requests contained in the foregoing Petition
S R Adams Hon A, G, Brown Dear Sir
[I offer?] the Citzen of this section ^through me^ to Call you attention to this Matter. When ever there has been an effort made to get a Rout established the Department has always tride to So alter the existing Routs as1 to [give?] the object dissered thereby destroying some important connection I would say to you that we do not wish the Rout to continue to Jackson for we have a regulur communication from Paulding to Jackson we only desire to have the Rout established from Paulding to Mobile via Leaksvill direct So as to connect with the Routs from Paulding to Jackson. Your friends a Leaksvill have by letter often urged upon me to write you, to have this Rout established believing that the Dept would be fairly remunerated by this Rout I would suggest that you contend for its establishment as early ast the first day of April next I am aware

that there has been bids sent to the department for this Rout and they are able to fulfill their contracts if the department should refuse to comply will you do your friends the favour to ask Congress to Establish the Rout desired
It is of no Small interest to the [readey?] & businessmen of the entire East to have this rout established
your attention to this Subject will be remembered by your friends through me
