To the Honorable Senate & House of Representitives in Congress assembled
We the undersigned petitioners citizens of the counties of Montgomery & Miami in the
State of Ohio do pray you to grant & establish a post rout From the ^Town^ of union in Montgomery County through the Town of Frederick Town in Miami County
to Hiattsville in said county of Miami thare being ing a rout runing Westwordly from union & another rout runing Easwordly from Hiattsville the distance between union & Hiattsville being about nine miles
which if said rout is established will connect the said line runing east & west the object of your petitioners in having said rout established is to
have a post office at said Frederick Town it being three miles Eastwordly from union & six miles westwordly from Hiattsville containing a population of about one hundred & fifty ^inhabitance^ three Stores two churches a flouring mill & a number of Mechanciks & in the immediate neighbourhood there is taken about fifty weekly newspapers besides
a number of pamphlets & letters so that we have no doubt that said office ^will^ pay all the expences of said rout & perhaps a proffit to the post office department.
