To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United State in Congress assembled,
The Petition of the undersigned citizens of the Counties of Montgomery, Bucks & Lehigh
in the State of Pennsylvania,
Respectfully sheweth, That whereas our community labor under great inconvenience for
want of a mail route betwen Sumny town on the post route from Norristown to Kutztown in the County of Montgomery
and state of Pennsylvania and Emaus, in the County of Lehigh state of Pennsylvania,
a distance of Eighteen miles, and whereas a line of stages have been established and
are now running regularly three times a week, between Sumny town and Emaus, The undersigned,
do respectfully pray your Honorable bodies to establish a mail route betwen Sumny town and Emaus, above mentioned And we will pray &c,
