Enclosed I send you Some petitions from a portion of the people in this and St. Clair
County praying for the establishment of a Mail Route.
I am satisfied that such a route would greatly commode a portion of our people now
almost entirely cut off from the such privileges, especially so far as the reception of newspapers and public documents,
in due season, is an object.
Your attention to the prayer of the petitioners would much oblige, a respectable portion
of your Constituents
