We the undersigned Petitioners and Inhabitants of Branch County Michigan do hereby ask and Petition your Hon Body to ^Establish a mail route from Bronson in said County ^via Gilead^^extend the Mail Routs from the Gillead Post Office in said County, to the Township of Noble. It being the South West corner Township of Branch county, and distant five miles from Gillead and Eight miles from Bronson Priarie, (directly South) we believe the interests of the Department and your Petitioners will be materially promoted by so doing, and as in duty bound your Petitioners will ever Pray &c
