To the Honorable Senate, & House of Representatives of the United States.
The undersigned Citizens of Washington & Athens Counties, Ohio; hereby petition your
Honorable Body, for the following alteration in the mail rout between Athens, in Athens
Counties & Harmar in Washington County viz: Vacate so much of said ^mail^ rout as lies between Federalton & Constitution Post Offices, & establish a new mail
rout between said offices, on the Free Turnpike road leading from the mouth of Federal Creek in Athens County to Bailey’s Ferry in
Washington County, & establish on said new rout the following Post offices, & appoint
the herein after named persons, Post Master viz: Decatur, in Decatur Township, Philip Shrader Jr Post Master. Veto, ^in^ North Belpre, Daniel Shaw Post Master. ^&^ Glendale, Warren Township, Abisha Cole, Post Master. And, also extend the mail rout between
Harmar & Gallopolis, from Coolville, where it now intersects the first above named
mail rout, to the said Constitution office.
