Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in theGeneral Assembly;

That the County Commissioners court of Franklin County are hereby authorized if they shall deem proper, to exemptWilliam S Crawford from the payment of the sum of eighty two dollars of the tax of the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty-eight due to said county of Franklin, and from the payment of any interest, or penalty which he may have incurred by omiting to pay the said sum of eighty two dollars
