Sec [Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General assembly. That the time specified in the act to which this is supplementary, for commencing the construction of the Des Moins Rapids Rail Road is hereby extended untill the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty three and the time for completing the same untill the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty six

Sec 2. The Des Moins Rapids Rail Road company may connect the Des Moins rapids rail road with the Peoria and Warsaw rail road at such point as they may deem expedient and are authorized to complete so much of said Peoria and Warsaw rail road as lies between the point of intersection and the Town of Warsaw, and use the same untill it may be needed by the State, Provided that the State may resume the use and control thereof at any time, on paying to the company the amount of money expended in its completion, together with interest at the rate of six per cent per annum

Sec 3. The company shall be entitled to receive from the State a sufficiency of railroad iron, plates[,] and spikes to

complete the superstructure of said Des Moins rapid railroad at the original cost thereof, Provided they make application to the Governor for the same on or before the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty three, and on their entering into bond to be approved by him, to pay to the state within three years from the time of application the value of said iron, together with six per cent per annum interest from the time the said company may receive the same
