An ACT to authorize the county commissioners of Rock Island and Stephenson counties to collect the taxes of 1839.

Com’rs[Commissioners] of Stephenson Co. to collect tax of 1839
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the county commissioners of the county of Rock Island, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to collect the taxes due in said
county for the year eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, (1839:) and that the county commissioners of Stephenson county are also hereby authorized and empowered to collect the tax due in said county for the year eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, (1839.)

1George W. Harrison introduced SB 149 in the Senate on February 3, 1841. The Senate passed the bill the next day. The House of Representatives passed the bill on February 16. The Council of Revision approved the bill on February 18 and the act became law.
