An act to repeal ^amend^ an act entitled “An act to provide for the safe keeping and security of the public money”
Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois Represented in the General assembly That the act entitled “An act to provide for the safe keeping and security of the public money”, “aproved March 4th, 1837, be and the same is hereby repealed
Sec. 2. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer of the state and he is hereby required to immediately demand of the President and Directors of the State Bank of Illinois all money now held by them under the authority of the above recited act, and the President and Directors of said Bank are required to pay over the same on the demand of said Treasurer.
This act shall be in force from its passage
