A Bill for an act authorizing the Governor to Execute a Deed to Joseph Duncan.
Sec[Section] 1. Be it Enacted by the people of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly. That the Governor is hereby authorized to make and Execute a Deed of quit claim to Joseph Duncan conveying all the right title and interest which the state has to a certain Lot of Land in Jacksonville, purchased by the ^William Kenney the late^ Acting Commissioner for the first Judicial Circuit, and sold to said Duncan
sec 2. Said deed shall not be delivered until said Duncan pay into the State Treasury the full amount of the consideration due for the same.

1Alfred W. Cavarly introduced HB 92 in the House of Representatives on January 7, 1841. On January 18, the House amended the bill by striking out “William Kinney” and inserting in lieu thereof “Murray McConnell.” The House passed the bill as amended. On January 20, the Senate referred the bill to the Committee on Internal Improvements. The Committee on Internal Improvements did not report back the bill.
