To The Hon. General Assembly of the State of Illinois
Your petitioner respectfully represents that One William Frame a prisoner in his custody in the jail of Schuyler County on charge for murder broke jail on 23rd Jan.[January] 1839, for the apprehension of whom your petioner on 24th of the same month offered a reward of $50. And that said prisoner was on 25th Jan. 1839 apprehended by some gentlemen of Brown Co. Ill. and brought back to your petioner, and that your petioner paid the persons apprehending said prioner the above named reward, which may be seen by refference to their receipt, Wherefore your petioner prays for an appropriation to be made to him refunding him said amount. And as in
duty your petioner will ever pray
