Amend the bill by adding the following as a new Section after the first:

Sec.[Section] 2. The assessor shall reserve columns on the right hand side of the page in the book to be provided by him to contain the list of the taxable property in the county; in which columns he shall set down the amount of state tax and of county tax, and if a road tax is required to be levied he shall also set down in a separate column the amount of road tax assessed upon the property described in each line. He shall also add up the several columns of figures in the book, before delivering the same to the clerk of the county commissioners’ court.

Sec. 3. The thirty-second section of the “Act concerning the public revenue,” approved Feb. 26, 1839, is hereby revived, and shall be in force from and after the first day of March, 1841.
